The Curriculum of the Department of Energy Systems is structured in two courses.
The first cycle, which covers the first two years of study (1st to 4th semester), consists of a set of core courses, aimed at acquiring the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in background and scientific knowledge in energy, in order to ensure correct and in-depth consolidation of the fundamental concepts and to lay the foundations for the successful attendance of the second course.
The second course, covering the next two years (semesters 5th to 8th) consists of Science Area and Skills Development courses that support the thematic units. In the 8th semester of studies, the elaboration of a Thesis is also carried out.
The learning outcomes and qualifications of the Department of Energy Systems of the University of Thessaly, according to the European and National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, are aligned with the objects treated by the Department, framed by a series of courses that create a strong background for mathematics. and a natural understanding of the phenomena that graduates will be called upon to face in their professional careers.
The professional rights of the graduates of the Department of Energy Systems are expected to cover the whole range of activities related to energy systems, from the analysis of requirements and the elaboration of studies to the design of infrastructure and the formation of the institutional and legal framework.
